So, since you're here, I might as well give you the lowdown on why i'm doing this.. and just to reassure both myself and you, dear anonymous reader, i'm not here to scream into the void. Or at least, not just scream into the void.
An ex-boyfriend of mine once told me "You sure think a lot of yourself, don't you?".. and the truth is, i'm self-absorbed enough to think that my thoughts might actually add some value to the world. So yeah I guess I do.
I'm fortunate enough to be gainfully employed doing what I love, and have been for over a decade now. My creative journey hasn't always been the most pleasant, but at the end of the day I wouldn't really have chosen to do anything else. That's why Creativity in some shape or form is likely to be the thing I write about most.
Despite pouring most of my energy into converting caffeinated beverages to visuals, my work thankfully leaves me with enough spoons to pursue my other passions: Gaming and Technology.
Creativity, Tech and Gaming are going to be the main things I write about, but I do plan to explore interests and tangents. I exist on this earth as a transgender woman, so as you might imagine that colours my outlook on the world a bit.
I'm also somewhat into keeping fit and the great outdoors, so expect some overlap there!

Above: A few friends and myself actually made a decent game for this year's GGJ!
So obviously my main reason for starting this blog is to have a space to write about creativity. This will mostly revolve around practice itself, but really I have a lot to say about the sector that might not necessarily go down too well on LinkedIn.
I want to keep it as positive as possible and stick to stuff I like or that I think is particularly effective, but from time to time I might even share some useful resources and stuff so that could be fun.
I've always been a bit of a nerd. I've been tinkering for as long as I can remember, my dad having introduced me to the good screen when I was very little. Learning Visual Basic with him was one of my earliest memories, and we built my first PC together before I was 10.
So yeah. Big fan. Building this site myself, by hand, with as little AI assistance as humanly possible is going to be an interesting exercise in itself. So far I haven't strayed particularly far from plain-old HTML, CSS, JS, Wordpress and maybe a few frontend frameworks. That's gonna change, and you're gonna see me write about it.
Gaming has always been my #1 pass-time. It's what got me into Creativity and Tech in the first place.
Video Games as provide the perfect medium for combining Creativity and Technology into something people WANT to consume. These last few years I've had a chance to make some of my own, and since I've spent so much of my career up to now using my powers for evil that I'd love to document the process of using my powers for good.
Anyway, that's about it. I hope this blog adds something to your life, or at least kills a couple of idle minutes.
